Now here's an oldie but a goodie. Don't see these go up for sale very often. John Buscema and Joe Sinnot work from Fantastic Four 125 page 3. This sold for $1611.00 with 14 bids. Easy to see why this page had so much interest --has some classic images of Reed, Thing, and Torch. From the late 70s..

Arthur Adams FF 551 cover sells for $7200.00

Was anyone else watching the Arthur Adams Fantastic Four 551 variant cover close on eBay for $7200.00 tonight? Gotta love the snipers. I guess I wasn't expecting it to go as high obviously but there are 2 bids over the $7k barrier. It's some big art, 13.75" by 20" and according to the description, the art fills most of the paper. And if you ever seen Arthur Adams art in person, then you know it's fully loaded with super details and his inking is meticulously tight. If you've ever seen him draw, he takes his time but the result is almost always a beautiful rendition. Kudos to the person who won this great looking cover.

4 Jack King Kirby Fantastic Four original art pages!

What a crazy single day for original art! Can you believe 4 different Jack Kirby Fantastic Four original art auctions will all end on Thursday, Sept 6?!? I'm guessing the 4 pages in total will sell for in excess of $32k, probably more. I hope they meet their reserves. Currently they are at collectively $21,097.00 with a total of 41 bids. All from the same ultimate seller too, nice.

I'm not sure what kind of investments these will end up to be in the future, but I gotta say that at least whoever ends up ponying up and getting them will be really happy, and that's an understatement. But then again, Jack "King" Kirby and Stan Lee really were the early vision of comics, and really that's how we got to where we are today.
